Sangeeta Kale is a Professor and Dean at the Defense Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT)
in Pune. She is also the Director (International Cooperations) at DIAT and founded Navyukti
Innovations Pvt. Ltd., where she serves as a Director. With a background in Physics and
Electronic Sciences from the University of Pune, she pursued post-doctoral research in
Engineering Physics/Applied Physics at the University of Maryland, USA. Sangeeta's expertise
lies in Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials, focusing on their applications in sensing, devices,
and drug delivery. Her contributions include over 125 research publications, 8 book chapters, 4
books, and 2 biographies. She's received three national awards for her excellence in teaching,
innovation and research. Through Navyukti Innovations, she's developing affordable and
indigenous biosensors and drug delivery vehicles for both social and commercial purposes.
